OUR STORY
the people of o2 ideas Although it all started in 1967, our story really began 30 years later. Because in 1996, we totally reinvented ourselves. Down came the names of iconic admen of our agency's past and up went a name that reflected a breath of fresh air: o2 ideas. But this was more than a name change: It was a cultural shift, a revolution in the way we do business. Instead of living under hierarchies, structures and top-heavy agency models, o2 became about life, freedom and the concept that great ideas can come from anywhere. We flattened the pyramid to allow a greater level of creativity to work its way into our work, creating an environment that would encourage new, smarter and better thinking.

OUR PEOPLE
A Jeopardy winner, a Russian illustrator from the Royal Academy, one of the world's foremost brand planners from Scotland and an owner that's in the Smithsonian: the staff at o2 is overflowing with simply fascinating individuals. Many of our people came from the big shops, like Y&R, JWT, Ketchum, DDB, BBDO, FCB & Mullen. But in the end, they preferred the creative atmosphere and comradery at o2 over the bloated bureaucracy and big egos of Madison Ave. Our standards are tough, but simple: We only hire kindred spirits. We will only work with brilliant thinkers who love what they do and have a true passion for great work. But beyond their intelligence, we hire for the quality of their character -- good people, who believe in always doing the right thing.
